Identity

Mario Pettersen, consultant and executive educator. Since 2018 I have practiced under the trade name PETTERSEN.

Scope

I design and implement business continuity and information security systems with ISO 22301 and ISO/IEC 27001, and I test them with the team that will respond. In AI governance I design and teach executive programs with ISO/IEC 42001 as the framework. The entry engagement is an incident readiness test on a single pilot service, delivered in about a month.

The gaps the test reveals are closed by the organization's own team, a provider it chooses, or me. If I close them, the next test is validated by a third party the organization chooses. I do not build a management system only to pass the audit: if it will not be tested, I do not take the work.

I work with organizations in Latin America and the United States. I have worked with boards and committees in Argentina and the Dominican Republic.

PETTERSEN is the trade name of my professional practice. I bring in specialists as each project requires, and larger projects are delivered through RiskOff, where I am an Associate Consultant. I am co-founder and Academic Director of IBEE (Iberoamericana Educación Ejecutiva), a RiskOff business unit.

Spanish is my native language and I have professional working proficiency in English. I teach and advise in Spanish; I also run meetings and produce documentation in English.
